so i want to preserve my vision because its already bad but my questions are

1.)do glasses worsen your vision more than contacts??

Both worsen vision, but in different ways. I am not sure which one is worse than the other. Glasses focus the light rays at different angles on the cornea, and the change in size/depth you see through the lenses confuses the brain. Contacts are a foreign object in the eye, and the eye generally doesn’t respond very well to having foreign objects in it. It can lead to inflammation of the cornea and other things.

2.)does it hurt your vison more to wear or not to wear your glasses

Many people will be surprised to hear this, but it hurts your vision more to wear glasses. If you learn good eye habits to avoid straining while not wearing glasses, then your vision will not worsen. For example, when you look in the distance (if you are nearsighted), just let it be, don’t “try” to see something (strain). Let the eyes relax, and the eyes will feel lighter and eventually you will be able to see what’s in the distance.

3.)how much can laser eye correction really fix
can it bring you back to 20/20 vision

Lasik only fixes the symptom, not the cause. Whatever caused your vision to get worse, lasik does not fix it; lasik only fixes the refractive error. It can bring vision acuity to 20/20 or better, but the flap has never been known to heal completely. Most lasik complications are flap-related. The complications of lasik are downplayed by doctors–they do not tell you everything. Many doctors are quitting doing lasik and switching to other forms of refractive surgery because there are too many risks with lasik.

4.) i spend most of my day by the computer does that make it worse

Yes, especially if you are straining while you look at the computer. Prolonged exposure to the computer screen causes some people’s eyes to become very sensitive to light, and prolonged exposure to lack of sunlight is bad for the eye. (think of these blind fish and creatures in underground caverns)

5.) how can i make sure my vison doesnt get worst

Try the Bates method. I was able to improve my eyesight from 20/100 to 20/13 in two months. 20/13 is better than 20/20.
