Ghost Images Vision

Blurred vision in corner of eye? Do you know what this is?
I’m trying out new contacts and noticed that when I look in one corner of my vision field, I see double. It’s only in my right eye. I can focus on either of the ghost images and make it darker and stronger. I’m not sure if I just never noticed it before (I don’t cover my left eye and peer upwards very often you know), or if it’s the new contacts themselves. It’s freaking me out. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it sound like astigmatism?
according to http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSIHW000/9339/9843.html
“Monocular diplopia is double vision in only one eye. The double vision continues even when the other eye is covered. The doubling does not go away when you look in different directions.”
So what IS it when it goes away if you look in a different direction?
Im not sure, because you said it’s only in the corner of your eye?
When I wore contacts for years, right when I switched to Oasys my eyes got totally messed up. My eyes would burn and sting and get really red and watery. It go to a point where I couldn’t even see with my glasses it was so messed up. I had to go to the eye doctor and he said I had keratoconus and my corneas are now messed up and I see “ghost images” all over the place, especially at night. Now I can never wear contacts again and im not able to get lasik eye surgery…….aren’t contacts great? HA!

The Shining $8.95 Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining is less an adaptation of Stephen King’s bestselling horror novel than a complete reimagining of it from the inside out. In King’s book, the Overlook Hotel is a haunted place that takes possession of its off-season caretaker and provokes him to murderous rage against his wife and young son. Kubrick’s movie is an existential Road Runner cartoon (his steadicam scurrying … |

Kwaidan (The Criterion Collection) $17.99 A masterpiece of filmmaking artifice and mood-setting atmosphere, Kwaidan consists of four ghost stories adapted from the fiction of Greek-born Lafcadio Hearn (a.k.a. Yakumo Koizumi, 1850-1904), who assimilated into Japanese culture so thoroughly that his writings reveal no evidence of Western influence. So it is that these four cinematic interpretations–perhaps more accurately described as … |

Ghost $13.58 Give points to Ghost for defying expectations right from the start of their first album, at least if one is coming in merely expecting a drifty, new age type of experience. “Sun Is Tangging” may start off fairly quietly, but then it explodes in a noise fest and then returns to a calmer acoustic serenity throughout. With that as a fine surprise starting point, Batoh and company enter fully into their fascinating acid-folk-jam world with a strong number of songs. The group and its many guests — no less than 11 — explore everything from droning mysticism that sounds like it was recorded in mist-shrouded jungle temples to heavy-duty percussion-led songs that will make any Amon Düül fan smile in happiness. Given this wide range, Batoh’s particular vision feels not merely like a tribute to his musical forebears but a striking new synthesis, while his main collaborators at this point match his dreams well. Mu Krishna, the chief percussion player, does a particularly fine job on his own or with various guests throughout, also contributing “whisper,” as the credits name it. One moment where Batoh gets to step fully to the fore is the lovely “I’ve Been Flying,” where his soft acoustic playing and understated but still strong singing float above a lovely electric guitar solo from then guest performer Kurihara. The immediately following “Ballad of Summer Rounder” is just as grand, Batoh’s tender, evocative singing and playing accompanied about four minutes in by Takizawa’s flute and guest drummer Shigeru Konno’s steady, restrained percussion. It eventually ends in a classic jam, Takizawa switching to sax and going off over the head-nodding beat as Batoh seems almost to be speaking in tongues or mantras. “Rakshu” wraps up this quite fine debut with an intoxicating, hushed blend of percussion — gongs, bells, blocks — and Batoh’s prayerful singing. ~ Ned Raggett, Rovi Performers: Akane – Wind; Kazuo Ogino – Recorder; Masaki Batoh – Banjo, Guitar (Acoustic), Vocals; Michio Kurihara – Guitar (Electric); Naohiro Yoshimoto – Bass; Taishi Takizawa – Flute, Guitar (Acoustic), Saxophone |
